April kicks off the Pick Your Price Deal

YAVAPAI COUNTY - Yavapai Humane Society (YHS) is hosting an April “Pick Your Price” adoption event starting April 1stthrough April 30th. The Yavapai Humane Society is the Pet Adoption Center of choice and this April it is the only place adopters can pick their own price for any cat, kitten, dog or puppy.
“This is the community’s best chance to help empty the shelter,” says Ed Boks, YHS Executive Director. “The warm spring and summer seasons bring an influx of litters of puppies and kittens that we need to make room for. This special is a chance for animal lovers to help YHS care for homeless animals by freeing up space in the shelter. If you’re looking for a new furry family member, you won’t find a better time or better selection.
Volunteers and staff will be walking dogs around the campus sharing their favorites with potential adopters. Cat cuddlers will also be on hand to give adopters personal information on available felines. This month-long adoption event is valid at YHS Pet Adoption Center at 1625 Sundog Ranch Road from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursdays through Mondays and 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sundays. We’ll also have “Pick Your Price” adoptions at the Prescott PetSmart Cat Adoption Center on 69A weekdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and weekends 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
All YHS pets are spayed or neutered, micro-chipped, vaccinated, de-wormed, and current on flea and tick preventative care—a package worth $400 in value. Every animal adopted at YHS is also eligible for one free introductory wellness exam with a local veterinarian of your choice.

All adopters must still adhere to all YHS adoption policies and speak with an adoption counselor prior to being able to adopt. It is recommended that you bring a copy of your lease agreement, all the members of your household, and/or any dogs in the family for a get acquainted “meet and greet” with your prospective new family member.
