“Caregiver? Resources and Advocacy Efforts for You!” This informational seminar is presented by the League of Women Voters of Central Yavapai County (LWVCYC) in partnership with the Osher Life Long Learning Institute (OLLI) of Yavapai College as part of a special Fall Seminar Series.
Whether the need is for a family member or close friend, caregiving is one of the most important endeavors you will ever undertake. Join us to Learn what you need to know about the process and the resources available to both caregivers and their recipients. Speakers from Arizona AARP, Shawn Trobia, Associate State Director – Community Outreach Caring, and Ritch Steven, Lead Advocacy Volunteer, will provide information to better prepare you for this role. Additionally, you should be aware of the advocacy efforts of AARP that are underway at the State Legislature to support caregivers and their loved ones.
The seminar will be held on Thursday, September 13, from 12:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Yavapai College, 1100 E. Sheldon Street, Prescott, building 3, Room 119 (enter through the cafeteria). Although the session is open to the public, it is an OLLI Munch and Learn Session, so free registration is requested at 928-717-7634.
Watch for information on the last of the LWVCYC/OLLI fall seminar series on Saturday, October 13, 10:00 p.m. to 12:00 p.m. for “Who are Arizona’s Independent Voters?” to be held at the same Yavapai College location.
