These events are a great way to learn about our local and national politics which affect our lives, meet new people and be engaged in the political process.

Citizens for America: Held 1st Thursday of the month.

In March, Citizens for America will feature Sanford Cohen, and candidate for Yavapai Sheriff, David Rhodes and Senator Sylvia Allen’s most recent “Lightning Bolt”. 

Sanford Cohen is the owner of five local radio stations; past chairman of the Prescott Chamber of Commerce and Prescott Valley Chamber of Commerce; Past President of the Downtown Prescott Association, and is member of the Board of Directors of the Arizona Blues Hall of Fame. 

He will discuss how the Jewish state and the West Bank were created; what is the current state of the Conservatives vs. the Liberals in Israel; How the Jews view President Trump and why ; and where did the Palestinians come from and why other Arab states will not take them as refugees. 

David Rhodes is a self-described Constitutionalist.  He welcomes questions about t Red Flag Laws and the 2nd Amendment.

Senator Allen’s bill l SCR1007: restrictions prohibited; immigration laws, would outlaw sanctuary counties, cities and towns and require them to uphold and support federal immigration laws. This bill will be discussed

Republican Men’s Forum (YRMF) Held 2nd Monday of the month

Brenda Barton – Candidate Arizona House of Representatives LD6

As a veteran legislator Brenda Barton is stepping up to run for a seat in the Arizona House of Representatives. 

 Brenda’s previous years in the House, includes serving as chairwoman of a number of committees, giving her an experience level and leadership skills that exceeds any other candidate. There will be no lost time with a learning curve when she takes her seat in the House.

 Chris Taylor – Candidate for U.S. Congress in Arizona’s First Congressional District

 Chris Taylor is a Combat Veteran of Afghanistan where he served in the U.S. Army Special Operations Forces. Chris was born and raised in Safford, AZ. His family has been in rural eastern Arizona, for 7 generations. Chris is currently a Safford City Councilman and a certified Firefighter.

 The response to his Candidacy announcement has been overwhelmingly positive throughout the district.  Come hear his story of service, redemption, and unique qualifications that resonate with a wide swath of voters.

David Rhodes – Candidate Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office

David is a long-term Yavapai County resident and current Chief Deputy of the Sheriff’s Office.  His law enforcement experience, training, and education have uniquely qualified him to assume the Office of Sheriff.

A few of David’s goals are to work hard to decriminalize mental illness, continue to promote collaborative leadership across agencies, and seek cooperation with all sectors to produce cost savings.”

In March, RWOP will host Loren Spivack, conservative author of “Why We Fight, Analyzing the Nature of the Left. In 2009, he founded Free Market Warrior “in an effort to make a positive difference in American politics and economics. He is also the author of the “The New Democrat” a parody history of the Obama administration, based on a famous children’s book.

Highway 69 Republicans and Conservatives

In March, Highway 69 will have candidate for Yavapai County Sheriff, David Rhodes and Anne Marie Ward, Republican challenger to Congressman Paul Gosar for U.S. Congress AZ-04  

There will be a short Q & A.

 We are proud to introduce the public to some of our wonderful, local public servants.  We have Judd Simmonds, County Assessor, to speak on property taxes, Leslie Hoffman, Yavapai County Recorder, to discuss election integrity and David Rhodes, Candidate for Sheriff.

It will be an excellent opportunity to meet and ask questions of these important county candidates

Conservatives for a Constitutional Republic (ConCR) 

This meets on the 4th Saturday of the month .

 Club invites “solid conservatives looking for an organization that reflects their values” to attend Saturday’s meeting. Please note that ConCR is a private organization and not affiliated with any political party. Most members are affiliated with the Republican Party or are independents who lean conservative. 

For the month of March, the guest speaker will be announced later

In April, The Mingus Mountain club will have 2 guest speakers,  Wendy Rogers, Candidate for Arizona Senator, LD6  and Tiffany Shedd, Candidate for CD 1. 

Air Force (ret) Lt Col Wendy Rogers is running to become our next AZ state senator of LD6 from Flagstaff. She was one of the first women pilots in the Air Force having flown troop carrier transport jets worldwide. For the past 22 years, she has been a business owner with her husband. They have two children and five grandchildren. 

Colonel Rogers will speak on her background suited for leadership in our state legislature, as well as current issues facing our state which are particularly important to northern Arizona. www.WendyRogers.org

Tiffany Shedd, Candidate for CD1

 Tiffany Shedd is running for election to the U.S. House to represent Arizona’s 1st Congressional District.  She declared candidacy for the Republican primary scheduled on August 4, 2020.

She’s running for congress to implement conservative solutions to the problems Arizonans face including border security, veteran’s issues, 2nd amendment challenges, health care, jobs and economy.
