Sustainable Economic Development Initiative (SEDI) Dollars for Dreams program offers micro-loans to give businesses a start.

Northern Arizona Council of Governments Economic Workforce Development (NACOG-EWD) is spot lighting the Sustainable Economic Development Initiative (SEDI) Dollars for Dreams program to highlight access to resources for our service area.

“The Sustainable Economic Development Initiative (SEDI) has a great program to assist small businesses.

For more than five years, SEDI's Dollars for Dreams business micro-loan program has been helping entrepreneurs make their dreams come true and created new jobs in our community. SEDI has created or sustained more than a hundred jobs in the region and has money available to lend to northern Arizona start-ups, existing businesses and home-based ventures lacking established credit and access to capital.

As a 501(c) 3, SEDI makes its loan decisions primarily based on their potential for economic development and job creation. Loan amounts are typically based on the number of jobs the loans will help create. In addition to making loans SEDI helps borrowers learn about and establish credit, reports loan payments to national credit agencies, and mentors clients on best practices to grow their businesses.
