In between the downtown Kiddie Parade and tonight's rodeo, make time to go to Lunch with Chef Bryan at the Methodist Church.
Chef Bryan is the cook for the Coalition of Compassion and Justice, which operates the Open Door project that helps feed homeless folks in the Prescott area.
Eating gourmet food on paper plates is a little unusual, but the dishes and plastic ware make no difference once you dig your fork in and take a bite. Here's what's on the menu for today:
Chicken or Veggie egg rolls
Field Greens with Green Goddess Avocado Dressing and Chef’s Salad Fixins’
Classic Grandma’s Favorite Meatloaf
Roasted Garlic-mashed Potatoes
Grilled Summer Vegetables
Green Chili Mac & Cheese
Red, White, and Blue Summer Cream Tarts – Strawberry, Blueberry and Banana
So, what's the cost of this scrumptious meal? Whatever you want to pay. Just place a donation in the pot, and jump in the chow line. It's for a terrific cause, and you'll have a wonderful time, too.
Your donations will help support the following CCJ services for low-income residents of Yavapai County:
- Health and Safety Home Repairs
- Rental and Utility Assistance
- Hot Meals
- Food Boxes
