YHS Volunteer To Be Featured on 'Dog Whisperer'

Jennifer McCarthy Guest Stars in October 29 Premier of “Wolf-Dogs: Out Of The Wild”.

 

jennifer_dogPrescott, Ariz., Oct. 14, 2010 – The Yavapai Humane Society (YHS) today announced that one of their volunteers, animal behaviorist Jennifer McCarthy, will be a featured guest on “Dog Whisperer” Friday, October 29th at 7:30 p.m. on the National Geographic Channel. In this episode, entitled “Wolf Dogs: Out of the Wild,” Ms. McCarthy helps host Cesar Milan rehabilitate a wolf-dog who is terrorizing a farming community.

McCarthy, a 4th generation, world-class celebrity dog trainer who has extensive experience with wolves and dogs, is currently living at the K-9 Ranch training center in Williamson Valley. At the Yavapai Humane Society, she works with dogs who have severe behavior problems so they can be rehabilitated and put up for adoption.

McCarthy is holding a free dog adoption and behavior seminar for anyone who has adopted a YHS shelter dog. The seminar is scheduled for Saturday, October 23rd from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. in the Prescott Gateway Mall Community Room.
