The Walker Winter Wonderland has become a family tradition that is going on for the third consecutive year. "We do the Christmas light display to help spread the Christmas joy and spirit hoping that it may inspire others to give and care for their neighbors, family, and community," said Summer Walker.
While walking around and enjoying the lights, you may feel the need to sit and rest a bit. You can do this while sipping hot cocoa and enjoying a warm fire. "We love to see people's faces light up as they walk through and enjoy time with their families," added Summer.
The light display started three years ago and each year it continues to grow. "This year there are about 200,000 lights. We started putting them up the first week of October. There are ten arches, plus the original one, which is dedicated to honor our Veterans and first responders for all they do for us," said Summer.
There is so much for the kids and families to enjoy, so come out and enjoy the lights, the enjoy the hot cocoa, and a treat from Santa himself.
Santa makes surprise visits throughout the season. The lights are on every night from 6pm to midnight. Be sure to bring your camera so you can have a picture taken with Santa.
The Walker family does this for free and does not accept donations. "A smile on your face, and the cheer and joy in your hearts is our payment,"Summer added.
