Adoption Day

Seventeen children were adopted on Saturday, November 17. Seventeen children with biological parents unable to be moms and dads for any number of reasons, found new homes, new arms ready to hug them, new hearts ready to love them.
From the Embry Riddle Color Guard, to Rosie Ross playing the trumpet, this Veteran's Day Parade held at the Bob Stump VA Medical Center was truly a perfect way to remember those who have fought for our country throughout the last century.
The election results are in: Lora Lopas wins the seat on the Prescott City Council, unseating incumbent Steve Blair. Lopas received 7041 votes to Blair's 6344.

Update on August Fire

Yes, the fire is still burning, but the Forest Service reports that firefighters have succeeded in establishing a fireline around the August Fire. They expect full containment by tomorrow, Wednesday, November 7.

If you haven't voted yet, you're running out of time! Schools, taxes and fire safety are a few of the issues on the ballots this month. The ballots will be counted and the results announced Tuesday evening at 8 pm. There are several local communities voting on issues this month.
For the last 25 years, journalists in Northern Arizona have acted autonomously as they work for their publications, seldom communicating or socializing with one another. Lauren Millette, from KYCA radio station, thinks it's time that changed.
