02 October 2015

21 Marching Bands plus the U of A "Pride of Arizona" band will perform on Saturday

Looking for something worthwhile and entertaining to do this Saturday? Look no further than the Mile High Marching Bande Fesitval being held at Prescott High School from 1:00pm till 8:00pm.

The Pride of Prescott Marching Band will perform at 4:30pm and 7:15pm. The U of A "Pride of Arizona" Marching Band will perform at 4:45pm and 7:45pm. All in all, there will be 21 bands performing. Many of these bands travel hours and hours to get here.

Band Booster President Noel Kingston stated, "All proceeds from the Festival will be used to benefit the entire Prescott High School Instrumental Music Program, including the Marching Band, Jazz Band, Wind Ensemble, Symphonic Band, Orchestra, and Color Guard. These numerous programs currently receive no direct funding and exist only because of “pay to play” student fees and financial support from people like YOU! Your attendance and support will ensure that music continues to be an important part of our school’s curriculum!"

Tickets for the entire day are $7 for adults, and $5 for children and seniors. There will be concessions with an assortment of food and beverages throughout the day.
