Friday night turned out to be cold and windy for the Prescott High School graduation ceremonies, but that didn't stop the seniors from traipsing down the steps to sit on the chairs set up on Bill Shepherd Field.

According to Principal Totsy McCraley, 356 students took part in the commencement exercises, while thousands watched from the stands, bundled up in blankets and coats. The temperature dropped to the low 60's, but the 25 mph winds made it feel much chillier. Although a hazy smoke from the Gladiator Fire lined the horizon, skies overhead were clear.

On hand to greet the graduates and hand out diplomas were Superintendent Dave Smucker, School Board President Dee Navarro, Assistant Superintendent Joe Howard, Renee Raskin, Chief Financial Officer, Board Member Joan Fleming, and of course, Principal McCraley.

Congratulations to the Prescott High School graduates!
