We had a blast! We got there about 9:30 pm, just in time for the wand contest. An amazing wand that looked to have an occotillo cactus handle with a fantastic wire wrap won that one.

Then there was the contest for best costume, both male and female. And hey! Our son, Ben Williamson, won that one with his portrayal of Ron Weasley. Then his cousin, Mary Powers, won the best female costume for her portrayal of Hermione Granger! They got Golden Snitch statues and cardboard stand ups of Harry Potter!

After that there was the "Guess how many of Bertie Bott's jelly beans" were in a jar and the picking of the winner of the Harry Potter trivia contest.

Then finally the moment arrived. We all lined up, our two kids getting to go to the front of the line as contest winners and at 12:01 am we were the first to receive the new book, "Harry Potter an the Deadly Hallows". What a night! Many thanks to Barnes and Noble for making this a memorable night for us all!
