Getting Ready for the 2008 Relay for Life

199 cancer survivors got together for the first event of the 2008 American Cancer Society Quad-Cities Relay for Life.

Outback Steakhouse of Prescott hosted the cancer survivors luncheon.
A luncheon honoring 199 cancer survivors, including Prescott Mayor Jack Wilson, was held on Wednesday, May 21, 2008. The event was graciously hosted by the Outback Steakhouse of Prescott.

 

The survivors luncheon is the first event of the 2008 American Cancer Society Quad-Cities Relay for Life. The relay will be held at Prescott High School track on June 6, 2008 starting at 6:00 pm and will continue all night. There will be a reception for survivors at 4:30 pm and then at 6:00 pm the survivors will walk the first lap. Teams will continue to walk the track all night.There will be entertainment, food, and games. The public is invited to attend this community event to honor survivors and remember loved ones lost to cancer.
