Groom Creek Activities Benefit the Firefighter's Association

Come enjoy the cool pines and help the Firefighter's Association, too.

The Groom Creek Firefighter's Association has a couple of events coming up in the next couple of weeks. Golf, anyone? How about pancakes? How about a free smoke detector just for showing up?

Firewise Day

You are invited to attend our annual Groom Creek Fire District Firewise Day.

Date: Saturday April 21, 2012

8am – 10 am: Pancake Breakfast $5.00 adults & $3.00 children (includes eggs, bacon, and choice of coffee or orange juice).

All proceeds will go to the Groom Creek Firefighters Association

10am: Firewise Presentations:This year we will have a represenative from the Prescott Naional Forest, as well as GCFD personnel on hand to answer any questions regarding projects underway in our area helping make our community in the pines safer from wildfires.We will also be presenting yard signs to this year’s newly appointed Firewise community members in attendance. Everyone will receive a free smoke detector just for showing up.

3rd Annual Golf Tournament

It's the 3rd Annual Golf Tournament, at Antelope Hills golf course.

Date: April 28, 2012

Time: 8 am

Cost: $70 per player

The registration deadline has been moved to April 21.

This is a benefit for the Groom Creek Firefighter's Association. Prizes will be awarded for the top three teams, long drive, longest putt, two closest to the pin holes, and a raffle.
