Time for the EcoLoco Fest in Prescott Valley

04 September 2012

It's a Festival for all!

The Eco Loco Fest will take place on Saturday, September 8, at the Prescott Valley Civic Center from 10-4 after months of planning. The Town of Prescott Valley, NAU-Yavapai and Ecosa institute are all partnering together to put on this event, hoping ot inspire local community members to live healthier, more sustainable lives.

According to a recent press release, "Through education, inventions, and entertainment, the Festival will foster connections between individuals, local business partners, and organizations that can invigorate lives and benefit the local economy."

"We're really excited " says Town of Prescott Valley Administrative Specialist, Kristi Jones. "A lot of different elements have been added to our event this year that will make it unique to any other."

What kind of elements? A bike parade, demonstartions by local artisans, a Sustainable Art Challenge, a farmer's market, wine & beer tasting, live music and eco-friendly games for the kids. There will also be workshops and presentations by experts in sustainable living.

"The event is going to be great for vendors because it presents an opportunity to showcase products and services to a very diverse group of people," says Steve Tansey of Energy Savings Heating and Cooling. "The people coming to our event tend to spend their dollars on causes, products, and services that have a positive effect on their lives, community and the planet Earth."“The event is going to be great for vendors because it presents an opportunity to showcase products and services to a very diverse group of people,”  says Steve Tansey of Energy Savings Heating and Cooling.  “The people coming to our event tend to spend their dollars on causes, products, and services that have a positive effect on their lives, community and the planet Earth.”
