Looking for new pitchers as 2017 play begins

The Mile Hi Horseshoe Club kicked off their Summer League on Thursday evening, at Watson Lake Horseshoe Complex.

Cal Cordes, the club's tournament director, said, "Anybody who likes to pitch horseshoes is welcome, regardless of their ability or experience. Each player is given a handicap, like bowling, which makes it more fair for everybody."

Matches are every Thursday at 6pm through June, at the Watson Lake Horseshoe Complex, which is just inside the main gate of the park, and to the right. The cost is $2 per person. A parking pass will be provided.

Cordes added, "The weather is perfect and we have room for more pitchers. It is a lot of fun and a great chance to get out and enjoy the warmer weather. We have space for more, so come on out and give it a try."

Further information, or to join, call Cal Cordes at 928-583-4258, or secretary-treasurer Sheri Ochoa 928-710-1472.
