CV Librarian Scott Bruner Awarded AZLA Leadership Award

Bruner receives congratulations from his staff and supporters. 

CHINO VALLEY, AZ- Scott Bruner, Library Director for the Town of Chino Valley, was awarded the Arizona Library Association (AZLA) Leadership Award, the highest honor given by the association.

Darlene Westcott, Assistant Librarian/Children's Librarian, along with the Friends of the Library nominated Bruner earlier this year and received notification of his selection this past week.

The selection process took more than eight months, where the AZLA considers a wide variety of accomplishments, including promoting libraries and library service, legislative activity, mentoring and staff development, and special projects.

Bruner was presented a congratulatory banner by staff on Wednesday, September 16,


and will be honored at the annual AZLA conference in Flagstaff in November.
