Last night’s Opening Ceremony of the 2016 Yavapai County Fair marked the official start of art displays, 4H and FFA livestock auctions and carnival rides.
The Opening Ceremonies featured a gigantic American Flag, a performance by a Yavapai County equestrian drill team and presentation of awards.

Prescott High School student David Pearce was honored for his cover artwork of the Fair’s program, and received a couple of checks. One for himself, and one for his art teacher, Amanda Chartier.
The Fair will be open through Sunday, with a different focus each day. There’s a lot to see and do - everything from critters to carnival rides - so be sure to plan to come and take it all in.
