Trail users are at potential risk.

PRESCOTT, AZ (November 17, 2017) - Prescott National Forest officials would like to warn trail users to be cautious and aware of the possibility of continually changing trail conditions. It has been reported to us that on November 13th a user encountered a single strand of barb wire that was strung at head height between a fence line and a dead tree crossing Arrastra Creek Trail, #275. The location puts it approximately one mile in from Senator Highway going east on Arrastra Creek Trail. Law Enforcement has not verified if this was done intentionally, but want to warn trail users of the potential risk.

U.S. Forest Service Law Enforcement (LEOs) are investigating this incident. Anyone with information related to this incident or if you encounter similar hazards on an area trail you are urged to please contact Prescott NF Law Enforcement at (928) 443-8111.

Forest officials encourage all visitors to enjoy outings on their public lands; make memories, take photos, and leave no trace. This ensures that all visitors have an enjoyable experience.
