Long term Prescott resident and businessman, Dane Beck, announced his intentions to run for an open seat on the board of the Central Yavapai Fire District (CYFD). When asked why he decided to run for the four year term on the board, Dane said: “I’m involved in the community and this opportunity to serve even further is a perfect fit for me. I have a large stake in the area with my companies and feel it’s important to give back, so I’m happy to put my name into the hat.”
Dane’s business background and conservative values will help keep the board fiscally sound. He is a graduate of The University of Arizona with a Bachelor of Science degree in Molecular and Cellular Biology. His family owned business, Beck Legacy Group, develops, owns and operates commercial properties, including The Hampton Inn and Suites located in Prescott Valley, The Hampton Inn and Suites in Page/Lake Powell, The Days Inn and Suites in Page, and the Lake Powell Conveniece Center and many other properties throughout Arizona. Dane served as Past President of Central Arizona Partnership, and helped launch The Greater Prescott Regional Economic Partnership, and has volunteered on many other community boards. Dane is also involved in numerous business and philanthropic organizations including Yavapai Big Brothers/Big Sisters..
Dane enjoys traveling and exploring with friends and family anywhere there is a lake, a beach or a trail.
