School Delay & Closure Information
"Hello Prescott Unified School District Families-
"I hope this message finds you cozy and warm... or out enjoying the snow. Kids, we expect you are helping out with shoveling, and I hope this has been a fun and safe day for all of you. I can tell you that snow days are days that we will always remember. I hope that it has been a time for families to be together. I enjoyed taking a snowboard run down the street I live on and plan to take a few more.
"That said, we need another day! Tomorrow, Friday February 22, PUSD will again be closed. Even if it stops snowing right now, we will need the time to get our schools cleared of snow. The City of Prescott has declared an emergency situation due to the snow, and is having a tough time staying up with the clearing of all of the roads.
"Our currently planned makeup day for a snow day is our spring holiday, which is April 19. That said, we will be looking at options at the state level due to our local state of emergency. We will keep you all posted.
"Be safe, have fun, don't drive if you don't need to. I hope you are all able to use this time to be together as families. Kids... your homework is to keep caught up on the shoveling!
