"I knew we could!"

Remember the story of the Little Engine That Could? That's kind of a perfect example of the story of our eNews sites.

It was just about 12 years ago when we first put up Prescott eNews, wondering whether anyone would care about our vision of online news in the Prescott area. We were surely a little engine compared to other media outlets in our communities!

"I think they'll care, I think they'll care!" were the words running through my mind.

Never did I imagine that in 12 years, we would grow to over 2.5 million page views per month, reaching readers throughout the world, with tens of thousands of published articles and over 25,000 minutes of watched video every four weeks.

So, how did that happen?

Well, the first step was to take advantage of communication technology tools in ways like no other media company in Prescott at the time. We recorded our interviews and required images for every story. Looking back, that seems so basic, but at the time, most of the local media relied on pen and paper and images were typically overlooked. We were the first to bring laptops to Council meetings, use devices as news tools and significantly utilize social media in order to bring you news & information.

Frankly, here at eNews, we're still on the cutting edge, and we like that. You can expect us to continue pushing limits, trying new things and taking new approaches as we bring you the local news.

The next, and even more important step, was to develop valuable partnerships in our community. Those partnerships are based on a steadfast dedication to the truth, an intense commitment to go above and beyond in support of our partners' success and a willingness to tell the stories our community cares about. Because of that, we're proud to have made a difference in Prescott, across Arizona and beyond.

Now the words running through my mind are, "I knew we could, I knew we could!" Because it's not just us, here at the eNews studios. It's all of us in the community, pulling together through the tough times and the fun times.

Thank you to ALL for your support!

PS If you'd like to work with the eNews team, I promise, you will not find a more creative or supportive partner for your business. Please give us a call today at 928.458.5119!
