On February 6, 2020, detectives from the Partner’s Against Narcotics Trafficking Taskforce (PANT) executed a search warrant at 610 N. Bagby Drive in Prescott resulting in the arrest of 22-year-old Clayton Yost on various drug charges.
Over the last few weeks, PANT detectives received information regarding drug sales from the home on Bagby Drive involving suspect Yost. During the investigation, detectives confirmed the sales of LSD and marijuana by Yost who was known to drive a red BMW sedan to meet with buyers.
During the investigation, detectives learned Yost was the ‘house manager’ for the ‘Roundsville Treatment Center’ located at the Bagby Drive home, listed in city records as a single-family residence. Yost apparently kept his supply of drugs on the premises. Based on the information confirming drug sales, a search warrant was sought and granted.
On February 6, 2020, the warrant was served, and Yost was detained along with 9 other persons. Detectives confirmed a total of 10 people were living inside the residence, did not know each other and were paying about $700 a month for the ‘services.’ A portion of the home was under extensive construction and an official from the city confirmed no permits were issued for such work. As a result, the city official posted an Unsafe to Occupy Notice at the main entrance while detectives gathered evidence.
Yost denied any involvement in illegal drug sales even after being confronted with the evidence.
Detectives recovered a quantity of marijuana and mushrooms during the search. Detectives also seized a short-barreled rifle with no apparent serial number kept in a motor home on the property.
Yost was booked on charges including Possession of Dangerous Drugs for Sale, Possess or Use Dangerous Drug, Possession of Marijuana for Sale, Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and a Probation Violation. He remains in the Camp Verde Detention Center on a total bond of $35,000.
