The Covid-19 pandemic has created food insecurity for many of our neighboring families. The Community Cupboard has served our communities for nearly 50 years. But due to overwhelming need their food bank is running low on supplies. From March 18 to April 24, Community Cupboard has served nearly 2000 people with over 13,000 lbs. of food!
The Prescott Frontier Rotary Club is conducting a drive to help replenish their supplies and we are asking for your help with donations of food or donations by check.
When: Friday and Saturday, May 15 and 16, from 10AM to 5PM.
Where: Olsen’s Grain, 711 Elrod Rd., Prescott
Watter’s Garden Center, 1815 W. Iron Springs Rd., Prescott
Drop-off Instructions: these are non-contact drop-off points.There will not be someone there to help with your donations. Simply look for the collection area. Please help with social distancing.
Needs: food needs are all non-perishable; canned meat and fish; canned vegetables and fruits; soups and stews; peanut butter; cereals; dry goods like rice, beans, and pasta; and bread, rolls, and buns. Please be sure that the expiration dates are current.
Check donations: Community Cupboard is a non-profit AZ tax credit corporation. Please mail your checks to Prescott Frontier Rotary, PO Box 1903, Prescott, 86302, designate the check for Community Cupboard, and we will forward the donations to them, and they will send you a receipt for tax purposes.
We all know that these are difficult times, but they are much more trying for so many. Please help as you can. Your support is appreciated by Prescott Frontier Rotary and The Community Cupboard.
