Prescott Talks: A Conversation with Jason Gisi of AED

11 March 2019

Listen to the most comprehensive discussion with Jason Gisi to date on the AED proposed development in the Granite Dells area.

We’ve heard a lot from the ’Save the Dells’ political action committee (PAC) regarding the proposed development in the Granite Dells area. We haven’t heard much from Jason Gisi, the CEO of Arizona Eco Development (AED) over the last few months.

This week Gisi sat down with host Glenn Martin and San Martin Rodriguez on Prescott Talks for a long discussion of the Granite Dells project, and helped clear up some of the misconceptions that people may have.

Listen in to hear one of the most comprehensive discussions to date with Gisi about what is being proposed.

  • How much land is involved
  • How AED became the owner of the land
  • How much of the lake is involved in the AED’s proposed development (hint: none.)
  • Are there any other developments in the area not owned by AED?
  • Were the developments in Granite Dells built according to local development standards?
  • How many mountains will be knocked down?
  • Did they get any public input for their development plans?
  • Have they changed the proposed maps for their development?
  • Has the proposed development been significantly amended?
  • What are the next steps?
  • Is this a good deal for Prescott?
  • Is there a mandate for the land to be annexed into the city limits?
  • How large will the parcels be?
  • Will there be housing at an entry-level price?
  • How much will the lots cost?
  • How long will total build-out take?
  • What about water?
  • Being efficient and sustainable.
  • How many offers for the land have been made?
  • …and much, much more.

“It’s not in our best interest to do anything but make things as pristine and natural as possible,” Gisi explained.
