16 October 2016   Paige Ramm

The first game is on October 22 at 2 PM in the Activity Center.

Prescott, Ariz. - October 13, 2016 - It’s been over a year in the making and with October 22nd approaching fast, the ERAU Women’s Basketball team is looking to capture their first win in program history.  The inaugural women’s basketball game will be played in Embry-Riddle’s Activity Center at 2pm Saturday, October 22nd.

The Eagles in their first season of competition have scheduled 28 contests, 13 of which are home games.  From Head Coach Becky Burke, "This will be a historic game, as it will be the very first game for Embry-Riddle's Women's Basketball Program. We were able to see how much support our Men's team received last season for their inaugural game, and would absolutely love if we could have that same support for the Women. We expect it to be a great day, and we are looking forward to it!”

Coach Burke has been building the foundation of the program over the past year and with practices in full swing the team is looking forward to their first matchup.  The program’s first year is an exciting landmark not only for the University but also for the community.
