After coming away with a thrilling victory against Lee Williams on Tuesday night, the Badgers welcomed in the undefeated Flagstaff Eagles on Thursday and fell 3-1 in four sets.
In set one, the Eagles squeaked by with a 27-25 victory against the Badgers to take a 1-0 advantage. However, the Badgers would respond and came away with a 25-23 win in set two tying the match at one set apiece. In set three, The Badgers fell 25-20 allowing the Eagles to take a 2-1 lead. In set four, Flagstaff placed the final nail in the Badgers’ coffin with a 25-15 win and a 3-1 match victory.
Even with the unfavorable outcome, seniors Alex Koehler and Ashlynn Uvila were both able to score double-digit kills as Koehler smacked 16 kills, along with nine digs, and Uvila gathered 12 kills.
Four players also accumulated double-digit digs for the Badgers as Grace Hendricks gained 13, Karlee Holliday added 12 as well as Uvila and Erinn Marroquin who each had 11 on the night.
The Badgers (10-5) look to jump back on the winning side as the team travels to Buckeye for a 6pm date with the Youngker Roughriders (16-10) on Tuesday.
