Tough First Quarter Sinks Badgers in Road Loss
Following an emotional last-second game-winning shot to beat rival Bradshaw Mountain on Tuesday, the Prescott High School Badgers could not keep the momentum rolling and lost to Coconino on the road 67-52 Wednesday night.

The first quarter would prove costly for Prescott High School as the team was outscored 22-4, which put the Badgers behind the eight ball early. The team would respond by only being outscored by one-point in the second and third quarter before the Badgers outscored the Panthers 22-19 in the final quarter but it was too late for a comeback.

Senior Paxton Henry lead the charge for Prescott High School scoring 19 points and grabbing five rebounds while Dallin Jex added ten points and three rebounds.

The Badgers (11-12, 3-7 section) men’s basketball team finishes the regular season at home with a game against Mohave (17-9, 6-4 section) at 7pm on Friday during “Hoopcoming” before taking on Coconino Saturday in a makeup game at 7pm.
