Badgers Badminton Sweep Independence 9-0

Big challenge awaits at Mesquite

The Prescott Badgers had a relatively easy match in their win over the Independence Patriots 9-0, in badminton action , Tuesday afternoon at Prescott High School. 

Cassideen Naylor, who is in her first year of varsity action said, “I played pretty good today. We are playing really good right now as a team, and have a tough game with Mesquite coming up. I really think we can get to state.” Naylor won her singles match, and her doubles match with Kailey Crockett.

The Badgers (6-0) will face their toughest challenge on the season with a Thursday afternoon visit to Mesquite High School in Gilbert. Independence drops to (2-4). Coach Bobbi Yoder said, “Mesquite could be the best team we will face all season. They have all their top players back from a year ago.” 

The Wildcats are (6-0) and have won 52 of their 54 games on the season.
