Bradshaw Mountain showed why they are one of the top teams in the Grand Canyon Region with a 3-0 win over the Prescott Badgers last night. It was Senior Night for the Badgers, and three seniors, Kendall Gisi, Sammy Spengler, and Denali Skinner, were recognized with their families prior to the start of the game.
The last time the teams met in September, with the score once again 3-0, in favor of the Bears. Despite the score, the student sections from both schools turned out to represent their teams.
The Badgers were missing junior Kate Radovich, who is out for the remainder of the season with a shoulder injury, and that sure did not help the cause for Prescott.
The teams were tied at five in game one, when the Bears took control, by going on an 11-0 run to go up 16-5. Prescott was not able to get back into it, suffering a 25-9 loss.
Game twonsaw the Badgers take a momentary lead of 4-2, before Bradshaw Mountain went on another run to go up 11-5. The Bears went on to win 25-17.
The final game, Bradshaw Mountain got their toughest fight, with the Badgers tying the game at 12, before the Bears took control to win out by a 25-16 score.
Bradshaw Mountain, (9-2) in the Grand Canyon Region, and (13-3) overall, has now won eight of their last nine, hosts Mohave tonight at 6pm.
Prescott finishes the regular season at (4-8) in the Grand Canyon Region, and (7-10) overall.
