It was Senior Night for three Lady Badgers.

Alisa LeBlanc, Eve Hawker, and Desiree Johnson were recognized with their families at mid court prior to the start of last nights game with Coconino. Then came the game and it was not a pretty start for Prescott.

The Panthers jumped out to a 9-1 lead before the Lady Badgers settled into their game plan. Prescott got some late quarter points and rebounds from Alissa LeBlanc, to pull within 13-9 after one quarter.

LeBlanc knocked down a pair of free throws to pull within 15-13 two minutes into the second quarter. Janie Rudy provided a second quarter spark with points that included pulling down a rebound and converting it into a basket, to keep it close at 22-18.

Jamie Huttmann was in the right place to get a rebound and basket to trim the Coconino lead to just 24-22 at the half.

Hollie Dalton came out of the gate in the second half knocking down a three pointer, giving the Lady Badgers their first lead 25-24. Dalton followed it up with another hoop and it was 27-24.

Coconino came right back to lead 36-29 after going on a 12-2 run. Prescott trailed 41-33 after three quarters.

The Panthers used some effective passing to help pad their lead to 45-33 with 5:05 remaining. Then came the Prescott rally.

Dalton brought the Lady Badgers back to trim the deficit to under ten, at 47-38 with 3:09 left. Huttmann and LeBlanc scored to close the gap to 49-42 with 2:09 left.

Dalton's baseline jumper cut it to 50-44 with just over a minute to play. Rudy's rebound and basket closed the deficit to 51-46 with just :33 remaining.

LeBlanc set the perfect screen for Dalton, who nailed a three, and it was 52-49. Dalton then stole ball, but shot did not fall as time ran out.

Alissa LeBlanc said, "I am so glad I came back to play this year after my injury. I love this team and the time we spent together."

Prescott falls to (4-5) in the Grand Canyon Region, and (9-10) overall. The Lady Badgers visit Lee Williams on Tuesday. Game time is 5:30pm.
