Badgers Swim Team Can’t Pick Up Win on Senior Day

Badgers Swim Wins Seven Races But Falls In Three-Team Meet on Senior Day

PRESCOTT- The Prescott High School boys and girls swim teams combined to win seven matches on senior day, Thursday, September 28th, at the Prescott YMCA in a three-team meet against Arizona College Prep and Thunderbird High School but came in third with 186 points.

The Badgers took both two-hundred-yard IM competitions with Lacey Ingallina coming in with a time of 2:39.31 and Harris Temple recording 2:05.42 in the boy’s event. Later, Temple won his second event of the day on the one-hundred-yard butterfly at 54.56.
Paul Kinach came in first on the fifty-yard freestyle with a finishing time of 23.87 and the boy’s one-hundred-yard backstroke at 1:04.71.
Temple and Kinach teamed up with Tate Bassett and Dallin Jex to win the boy’s four-hundred-yard freestyle relay at 3:39.20.
Meanwhile, Aly Warren finished first in the girl’s one-yard-yard breaststroke at 1:24.08.
Arizona College Prep ended up winning the meet with a combined score of 217, while Thunderbird High School combined for 209 points and a second-place spot.
Considering it was the final home meet of the season, the team honored it’s ten seniors with a ceremony, plaque, and roses during a break in the action.
The Badgers swim team is on the road for the rest of the season as they take on Mingus Union High School at 4:00 pm on Thursday, October 5th.
