PRESCOTT- The Prescott High School girl’s volleyball team swept the Mingus Marauders 3-0 on the road Thursday, October 17th.
Prescott High School sent Mingus to a 1-0 deficit after a game one 25-22 victory. The momentum kept rolling for the Badgers in game two with a 25-8 blow-out win. Mingus had a better performance in game three but it wasn’t enough to stop the Badger attack as Prescott High School was victorious in game three 25-20.
Badgers’ senior Madison Wood lead the charge with 12 kills, seven digs, and eight aces. Meanwhile, Sabina Dimaano-Simmons picked up 12 digs to go along with two aces. Badgers' Junior Tessandra Rothfuss was a key component offensively with 16 assists.
The Prescott High School girl’s volleyball team (9-11, 7-3 4A Grand Canyon) remains on the road for a date with Flagstaff on Wednesday, October 18th, at 6:00 pm.
