Fans Gather in Prescott Valley to See NAZ Suns Uniforms and Logos

Prescott Valley - Around 350 people showed up to catch the first glimpse of the new logo and uniforms for the Northern Arizona Suns D-league team.

Stepping on to a wooden basketball court, early fans were excited to see the branding of the newest professional sports team to call the Prescott Valley Events Center home. The Northern Arizona Suns, aka the NAZ Suns, will begin play in the Prescott Valley Events Center in mid-November, although dates and ticket prices have not yet been announced.

NAZ Suns President Chris Presson is a well-known face in Prescott Valley, having served in that same role for the Sundogs hockey team. Presson is also President of the Arizona Rattlers. On Tuesday evening, joined by Phoenix Suns broadcaster Tom Leander and Suns alumni Tom Chambers, Steven Hunter and Tim Kempton, Presson unveiled the new logo and uniforms for the NAZ Suns. Of course, having the assistance of the Suns Gorilla and a couple of the Suns cheerleaders just made the event more fun.

During his presentation, Presson promised that this would be a family-friendly opportunity for entertainment, and that was in evidence at Tuesday’s event. Fans were able to mingle with the Suns leadership team, and children participated in various activities around the PVEC. Hunter even shot a few basketballs with the kids.

If you weren’t able to come to the Prescott Valley Events Center, no worries, you can watch the entire reveal:

Afterwards, from young to old, the fan response was quite positive:
